Nextcarrier Telecom, Inc. has acquired GoAmerica's calling card operations for an undisclosed amount. As of October 5, 2006, the business will continue under the new name Nextcarrier Prepaid and will be integrated alongside Nextcarrier’s wholesale operations.

With this acquisition, Nextcarrier positions itself on a path to vertical integration in a highly fragmented marketplace. Additionally, this will allow for the expansion of product offerings.
